Education & Biography

After earning an Associate in Science from Richard Bland College of the College of William and Mary, I moved to Wise, Virginia to pursue a Bachelors in History from the University of Virginia' s College at Wise, with the goal of becoming a high school history teacher.
While at UVA Wise I pursued theater for fun and an opportunity to socialize with my friends. I did not truly consider theatre a viable career path until a connection in Richmond allowed me work several paying jobs in technical theater.
Like most theatrical professionals, I augmented my income by working side hustles like dog jogging. I never lost the desire for teaching and instead of becoming a history teacher, I fulfilled that desire by working with local high schools and theater camps whenever possible.
When it became clear teaching technical theater was my ultimate goal, I applied to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hills Master's of Fine Arts in Technical Theater program to earn a terminal degree and unlock more possible teaching options.
Richmond has been my home for a long time, but I did make a second home the mountains of Wise, Virginia. My continued return to Southwest Virginia work at the Governors School, gave me a chance to give back to the community that helped support me.
In the rare times where I have free time, I enjoy spending my time outdoors: hiking, running, bike riding, or interfacing withe the James River.
